Altendorf producing for the world.

Wilhelm Altendorf built his first machines in Berlin. In 1919, he relocated the company to Minden, Westphalia, where its head office remains to this day. All the sales and marketing operations are controlled from Minden. This is where the R&D department sweats over its latest innovations and product enhancements, and this is also the central point of contact for all Altendorf services.

All the high-end saw models are produced in the two Minden factories. To meet the needs of emerging markets as well, Altendorf also developed machine saws at the lower end of the price scale. Since 1995, these have been turned out by its own production facility in Qinhuangdao in the People's Republic of China.

2006 saw the opening of the new sales and service centre at the company's headquarters in Minden. In addition to numerous offices, this building also contains an exhibition space showing the history of the Altendorf sliding table saw and presenting the latest models. A "School of Table Sawing" with ultra-modern facilities for talks and training courses was also integrated in the new sales and service centre.
